Grantee Testimonials

Retina Research Foundation

Retina Research Foundation (RRF) is very appreciative of our collaboration with the Houston Delta Gamma Foundation (HDGF). RRF funds research to better understand the causes of retinal diseases that lead to vision loss. Presently, HDGF’s support is directed to RRF’s pilot study program. This support provides essential funding to Houston-based vision researchers to reach the ultimate goal of finding cures, preserving sight, and improving the care for patients impacted by retinal disease.

The Greater Houston Beep Baseball Association

The [GHBBA] and our team, the Bayou City Heat, are extremely proud and sincerely grateful to have had a long-standing relationship with the Houston Delta Gamma Foundation.  The foundation’s support has not only played an integral role in the success of our team, but also in the development of the blind players and our sighted volunteers involved. We believe that Beep Baseball is [an] inspirational experience that can change a person’s life. The Houston Delta Gamma Foundation has been a sustaining contributor to these changed lives.

Rev. M. E. Garrett

Sight Savers of America

As a proud grant recipient of the Houston Delta Gamma Foundation, Sight Savers America is deeply grateful for the support and the life‑changing impact it creates for children with permanent vision impairment. Last year, with funds from the Houston Delta Gamma Foundation, we were able to help 37 children receive the specialized technology they need to learn, grow, and thrive. Having the right tools at a young age shapes a child’s entire future—building independence, confidence, and the practical skills needed for school, work, and daily life. Houston Delta Gamma’s partnership has ensured that more children gain lifelong access to the tools that empower them to succeed.

CEO

University of Houston College of Optometry

With the generous support of the Houston Delta Gamma Foundation, our program provided vision-restoring cataract surgery to patients who otherwise lacked the financial means to access care.  These individuals often delayed treatment due to cost carriers, resulting in a progressive vision loss that impacted their independence, safety, and overall well-being.  This grant enabled timely surgical intervention, allowing patients to regain functional vision and return to essential activities of daily living.
