The Mission of The Houston Delta Gamma Foundation

The foundation, through events and programs, serves to bring awareness to the sighted community the importance of supporting the visually impaired so they may realize their victories. Many Houstonians with vision impairments have benefited through the thousands of dollars raised.

The Foundation

The Houston Delta Gamma Foundation was incorporated in 1972 as a Texas Non-Profit Corporation and qualified as a tax-exempt organization under Internal Revenue Code 501 (c) (3). An all-volunteer organization, the foundation is governed by a Board of Directors.

The foundation provides funds for services offered by state and community agencies, helps fund research to prevent blindness, provides low vision and educational aids, helps with needed medical intervention and counseling, supports cultural enrichment programs and services providing free vision screening and glasses for low income families.

Grants are awarded annually.
